On Monday, a class-action lawsuit was filed against automaker Tesla claiming its production plant in the state of California is a “hotbed for racist behavior.” The lawsuit, which was filed in Oakland, is the third one filed just this year by black workers who say they were called racial slurs and that Tesla ignored their complaints. Former employee Marcus Vaughn, who filed the Monday lawsuit, says he was routinely called slurs by supervisors and coworkers after he began working at the factory in April. Vaughn, who claims he was fired in October for “not having a positive attitude," is seeking unspecified damages under a California anti-discrimination law.
